Let me introduce myself!
I'm Debbie Mackenzie, an experienced leadership coach based in Aberdeen, providing executive development support and team effectiveness coaching across Scotland and the UK.
Turning business challenges into growth opportunities has been the common thread of my career for over three decades.
My journey taught me invaluable lessons - scaling a software consultancy without external funding, helping a nonprofit create impact with limited resources, and guiding an established company back to profitable growth whilst transitioning through two changes of ownership.
I didn’t have any textbooks to guide me. The experiences came from taking calculated risks, collaborative problem-solving and sometimes, learning things the hard way. While sales and marketing qualifications, leadership programmes, and exceptional mentors all shaped my approach, nothing enhanced my leadership quite like executive coaching.
Those coaching sessions were transformational. They deepened my self-awareness, challenged my thinking patterns, and crystallised my core values. Most importantly, coaching empowered me to achieve things that had seemed impossible.
The results were so profound that I naturally wove these coaching principles into my leadership style. The impact? Measurable increases in team engagement, motivation and performance. ​
